Narrow roads, no traffic regulations and flash floods have now emerged as a serious civic issue in Assam’s Silchar town. Commuters are also facing trouble particularly when the state is experiencing monsoon.
Taking serious note of this, Silchar MLA Dipayan Chakraborty took things into his own hands and carried out an experiment to ascertain if it will resolve the issue.
The MLA along with his party workers formed a human chain replicating a divider. The MLA said that the human chain was formed to figure out if the construction of a narrow divider will ease the congestion or aggravate it.
