Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu on Monday said that textbooks for Mathematics and Science for classes 6 and 7 will be available both in English and in mother-tongue. Students will have the option to pick the language in which they want to study.

Speaking to media, Minsiter Pegu said, “We have decided to make textbooks of Science and Mathematics for classes 6 and 7 bilingual. In the same textbook, in one page the content will be available in English and in the other page the content will be available in mother-tongue.”
