Ragging incident sparks outrage at JNV in Assam’s Nalbari

In response to the complaint lodged by the concerned parents, school authorities took swift action by suspending the eight students involved.
An incident of ragging in the hostel of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Assam’s Nalbari district, has sent shockwaves among parents.
At least five class 10 students were ragged and beaten by a group of senior students in their school hostel on September 9. Some of the students received injuries in their body.
As per inputs, it is alleged that the students were beaten up by bamboo sticks.
The incident has raised serious concerns about the safety and well-being of the students of the institution.
Victim student’s accused the school authorities of covering up events of ragging within the school campus.
The event came to light 7 days later during a meeting between school authorities and parents, where demands for enhanced safety measures emerged.
Following the incident, parents filed a complaint with the Nalbari police station.
In response to the complaint lodged by the concerned parents, school authorities took swift action by suspending the eight students involved.
