What has come as a big Northeast Live impact, the Assam government has extended support to young prodigy Ankurit Karmakar. Silchar MLA Krishnendu Pal visited the residence of Ankurit on behalf of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and assured of all possible assistance in his academics as well as future endeavours.
Well, 14-year-old Ankurit Karmakar from Assam’s Karimganj is winning hearts of one and all for his unique innovation which will aid the visually impaired. Ankurit, who is student of class 9, has designed a smart shoe for the visually-impaired people.
This smart shoe has been designed in a way which will help people with minimal or no eyesight protect themselves from any obstacles. Once worn, the shoe can notify the user of any possible obstacles on their way and give them sufficient time to maintain a distance.
Earlier Ankurit had expressed in front of Northeast Live that if he receives necesssary support from the government, he will endeavour to build an ambulance and fire fighting vehicle which can move in narrow lanes. Young Ankurit envisages to become a sceintist in the near future.
