The Assam Government is all set to lift all COVID-19 restrictions in the state from today.
Night curfews, restrictions on social and religious gatherings, mandatory testing at airports, railway stations will all be withdrawn from today.
However, wearing of face masks and the use of sanitisers will still be mandatory for all.
Not wearing of face masks and spitting in public places will invite a fine of Rs 1000.

Starting today, there will be no set timings for closure of shops and movie halls too will operate with full capacity. However, only a double vaccinated audience will be allowed in movie theatres.
Moreover, it is compulsory for commercial establishments and offices to ensure sanitisers and handwash facilities.
Meanwhile, the education department will be issuing another SOP for the school-related guidelines.
