A charred body of a youth was recovered from his residence at Dwarka Nagar in Guwahati on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Biswajit Verma. However, the cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.

Meanwhile, Assam police has initiated investigation into the incident.

It may be mentioned that Biswajit Verma had completed his B.Tech in Textile engineering from Tamil Nadu and was working with an institute in Guwahati’s Christian Basti area.
