Maha Politics in Guwahati: TMC protests infront of ‘Sena Camp’
Meanwhile, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray left his official residence 'Varsha' last evening and moved back to 'Matoshree' his family home.
In a sensational incident, members of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) staged a massive protest on Thursday in front of a city hotel in Guwahati as the Maharashtra political crisis continues to grow.
The protest was led by the party’s state president Ripun Bora. However, Bora and other protesting TMC members have been arrested by the police.
As the Shiv Sena rebel camp stay put in Guwahati continues to swell, 4 more MLAs arrived at the Radisson Blu hotel here in Guwahati just a short while back. Besides, 3 more MLAs arrived at the hotel earlier this morning.
While 4 MLAs had reached Guwahati last evening. With the arrival of more than 7 MLAs today, the numbers in the Shinde camp have risen to more than 50.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray left his official residence ‘Varsha’ last evening and moved back to ‘Matoshree’ his family home.
Thackeray had offered to step down even as he made a last-ditch effort to reach out to rebel party leader Eknath Shinde.
Ahead of his possible resignation, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray started making ‘final calls’ after his emotional challenge to the rebels the previous evening that he was ready to quit the post (CM) as well as Shiv Sena chief, on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut addressed the media and took a jibe at the Congress saying that a party under the pressure of the Enforcement Directorate cannot be a true Balasaheb Bhakt.
Further, Raut reiterated that the Shiv Sena members will stand with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
