Love, Deception and Tragedy: Assam Girl Dies After Allegedly Being Tricked into Suicide, Accused on the Run

What was meant to be a joyful Saraswati Puja outing turned into a tragedy. A young love story, now tainted with deception and death in Assam’s Nalbari district.
A 17-year-old girl, full of dreams and innocence, had stepped out with her lover on Monday, expecting a day of togetherness. But, she lost her life after allegedly being tricked into consuming poison by her lover.
As per inputs, they both were found lying unconscious by the highway in Tihu in the evening.
Locals rushed them to a local hospital, where the girl breathed her last, while the boy was declared completely fine and discharged. Soon after, he fled and continued to be on the run.
The girl’s family and locals have claimed that she was tricked into a deadly pact, that the boy only pretended to consume poison while ensuring she took the fatal dose.
The family of the girl have lodged an FIR, demanding justice for their daughter, whose life was cut short in the most tragic way.
