Boro said, “For the creation of a peaceful BTR, strong and stable political as well as social environment, we firmly hope that the people, ABSU and every community whether minoritie, everyone will vote for NDA candidate Joyanta Basumatary.”
The ABSU president also cited the reason as to why the students organisation has decided to back the NDA candidate.
Dipen Boro said, “Joyanta Basumatary is a symbol of peace, development, unity and brotherhood, this is a golden oppurtunity for everyone, so we the ABSU is assuring our full suppot to him. We are supporting for the cause of nationalism, for various issues and agendas, implementation of the Bodo Accord.”

Not only this, the ABSU has also urged BPF chief and former BTR CEM Hagrama Mohilary to set aside all differences and back the NDA candidate for the larger cause of taking BTR ahead in terms of welfare and progress.
ABSU president Dipen Boro said, “We appeal Hagrama Mohilary that we must forget our differences, and he must support Joyanta Basumatary- the NDA candidate for the sake of everyone’s good in BTR. We do not want any political differences.”
The ABSU president in fact went on to say that the main contest in the Kokrajhar Lok Sabha seat will be between the NDA candidate and Garjan Musahary of the Congress.
Besides, the ABSU in it’s appeal to the voters said, “We want to tell the people of Kokrajhar that for the sake of strengthening the largest democracy, everyone in all 3 districts under this constituency- Baksa, Chirang and Kokrajhar, must come out to vote.”
