Despite his resignation, he emphasised that "This resignation does not change my commitment to the people and the values I believe in."
In a significant setback for the Hagrama Mohilary-led Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) ahead of the upcoming Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) elections, the Vice President of the party, Kampa Borgoyari has resigned from both his position and his primary membership of the party today after two decades of dedicated service.
This move comes as the BPF prepares for the crucial elections to the BTC.
Borgoyari, who previously served as the deputy chief of the BTC during the BPF’s tenure in power, cited his inability to actively participate in party activities as the reason for his resignation.
Reflecting on his resignation, he shared that his journey over the past 20 years had been filled with invaluable experiences, memories, and opportunities to serve the people alongside dedicated colleagues.
Despite his resignation, he emphasised that “This resignation does not change my commitment to the people and the values I believe in. I will continue to work towards the progress and well-being of our society in new and meaningful ways.”
He thanked party president Hagrama Mohilary as well as all the leaders, members, and supporters of BPF who have stood by him throughout this journey.
“I am grateful to you, all the BPF Party leaders, and well-wishers for providing me with the opportunity to serve the people for the past twenty years as Vice President/Spokesperson of the BPF Party. I hope that under your capable leadership, the party will continue to grow and fulfill the aspirations of the people,” said Borgoyari.
