Guwahati: Suicide note of George Bordoloi sent for forensic tests

DCP said that the police are awaiting the forensic report after which they would take the next course of action.

The suicide note of George Bordoloi has been sent for forensic tests. This was told to Northeast Live by Guwahati East DCP Sudhakar Singh.

Singh said that the police are awaiting the forensic report after which they would take the next course of action.

The main accused Father Stephen Mevley was yesterday sent to one day of police custody. Mevley is to be produced before the CJM court on Wednesday.

Singh said here that the report of the investigating officer will decide if the police would seek further custody of Father Mevley.

Guwahati-based entrepreneur and actor George Bordoloi allegedly died by suicide on Monday leaving behind a suicide note where he blamed Father Mevley, the Vice-Chancellor of Don Bosco University for abetting his suicide.

Worth mentioning here, Father Mevely earlier accused Boroloi and his son of destroying the property of Don Bosco University and even filed an FIR against the duo.

Bordoloi allegedly took the extreme step after he could not tolerate the allegation, which he said was false and fabricated in his suicide note.
