In a recent development, two women have been arrested in connection with the 7-month-old baby kidnapping case from the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital.
The accused were identified as Minoti Das and Manisha Mili. Both the women have been kept in custody at the Bhangagarh police station.
On Wednesday, a 7-month-old baby went missing from GMCH premises where the baby was brought in by her parents for medical treatment.
According to authorities, the baby’s father had given the baby to one unknown woman to pacify her as the baby was crying a lot.
Reportedly, the woman made off with the baby when the father dozed off for a while. The hospital authorities filed an FIR regarding the incident after which the arrests have been made.
