Editor-in-Chief Wasbir Hussain conferred with Prafulla Chandra Baruah for excellence in Journalism
Mr Prafulla Chandra Baruah was an eminent journalist who was the Editor of Dainik Janambhoomi and Dainik Asom.
The All Assam Journalists Union conferred the Prafulla Chandra Baruah Memorial award for excellence in journalism to Northeast Live Editor in Chief Wasbir Hussain today at a largely attended function at Biswanath Chariali.
Mr Prafulla Chandra Baruah was an eminent journalist who was the Editor of Dainik Janambhoomi and Dainik Asom.
Meanwhile, The Assam Tribune executive editor Prasanta Jyoti Baruah was awarded the Radhika Mohan Bhagawati Memorial award.
Pratidin Time joint editor Sonit Bhuyan was conferred with the Manik Deuri memorial award and Dainik Agradoot editor Pranjal Sen Deka was conferred with the Hari Barman Memorial award.
The awards were handed over by Assam Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimary.
Northeast Live Editor in Chief Wasbir Hussain said he felt privileged to receive the award which was constituted in the name of Late Prafulla Baruah who was also his editor during his early days as a journalist.
