Dumper ploughs through herd of sleeping cows, 8 killed

In a heart-wrenching incident, at least 8 cows were killed in their sleep after being hit by a dumper in Assam’s Tinsukia district on Saturday night.

The incident took place on National Highway 115 at Chapakhowa area in Sadiya.

As per inputs, a herd of cows was sleeping on the road when the dumper ran over it. The speeding dumper was heading to Tinsukia from Dibang Valley in Arunachal Pradesh.

The dumper driver has fled from the scene after the accident.

Following the incident, the police have reached the spot and seized the dumper.
