DU ragging victim Anand’s friend alleges PG Students Union GS involved

Dibrugarh Police recorded the statement of Dibrugarh University Post Graduate Students Union, Ankur Bora today.
A close friend of Anand Sharma, the victim of the ragging incident, told Northeast Live that Anand had told him and other close friends and family that Ankur Bora had allegedly snatched his phone when he was being physically assaulted by the seniors.
The police recorded Bora’s statement this morning. His statement was recorded under section 143 CrPC which is related to unlawful assembly. Till now he has not been arrested, informed Raju Chetry, Officer-in-Charge of Dibrugarh Sadar Police Station.
