In a tragic incident, a 5-year-old girl died due to a snake bite in Assam’s Nalbari district.
The girl, following the snake bite, was immediately taken to Nalbari Medical College and Hospital. The incident happened on Tuesday night.
The girl was admitted to the hospital for a day, but after her condition didn’t improve the next day, the doctor referred her to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for further treatment.
However, when the GMCH doctor looked at the medical reports, he was surprised to see that the girl was not given any anti-venom injections.
The deceased girl’s family has now alleged that the girl died for not being given an anti-venom injection at Nalbari Medical College Hospital.
