Amid heightened electioneering for Assam Assembly elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday addressed the social media workers of the BJP at a programme titled ‘Agragami Asom’ in Guwahati on Monday.
In his address during the programme held at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra, Shah highlighted the progress and achievements made by the BJP-led government in the state.
“The BJP-led government has unprecedentedly developed the infrastructure of Assam. In last 5 years, under the guidance of PM Shri Narendra Modi ji, over 20,000 KMs of roads were constructed in the state,” he said.
The senior BJP leader stated that the foundation for strong infrastructure set by the BJP government will lead to a prosperous Assam.
“We’ve set a foundation for strong infrastructure, that will lead to a prosperous Assam. For this, we will have to free the state from floods. 38% of Assam is affected by floods,” Shah added.
