BJP announces candidates for 4 Rajya Sabha seats from Northeast

Pabitra Margherita will be the BJP’s candidate for one of the Rajya Sabha seats going to the elections on March 31. It may be mentioned that two Rajya Sabha seats from the state will fall vacant after terms of Congress MPs Ripun Bora and Ranee Narah will come to an end on April 2.

Meanwhile, the BJP has also candidates for the Rajya Sabha seats in Nagaland and Tripura. The Saffron party has fielded S Phangnon Konyak for the lone Lok Sabha seat in Nagaland, while Dr. Manik Saha will fight the elections to the Upper House from 1 Lok Sabha seat in Tripura.
