Foundation day of ‘Bhryamyman’ Assam’s first mobile theatre celebrated in Pathsala

The ‘Bajali press guild’ and ‘Pathsala Bajar committee’ celebrated the foundation day of ‘Bhryamyman’ Assam’s first Mobile Theatre at ‘Bhagawati Khetra’ in Pathsala under Bajali district today.

Notably, Achyut Lahkhar gave birth to ‘Bhryamyman’ or Mobile Theatre at ‘Bhagawati Khetra’ in Pathsala, Bajali in 1963.

Cabinet Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass lit the lamp to officially launch the programme. They also cut a cake on the occasion of the Mobile Theatre’s founding day.

Speaking to media, Ranjeet Kumar Dass said that Achyut Lahkar is known as the “Father of ‘Bhryamyman’.

Dass also added that for nearly 40 years, the popular ‘Nataraj Theatre’ performed throughout Assam and other states.

“Mobile theatre should live on indefinitely. Some younger generations are unaware of the father of Mobile Theatre. The committee’s initiative is commendable,” he added.
