As many as three Assam students have been evacuated from war-torn Ukraine and landed safely at New Delhi last night.
The three students are namely Deepishikha Das of Bankhar, Prayash Sharma of Jorhat and Avneesh Phukan of Moran.
They will be brought to Assam by the state government today.
All three were pursuing medical studies in Ukraine.
It may be mentioned that the state government and the government of India are working tirelessly to evacuate students and bring them back home who are stranded in Ukraine due to the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
Besides, the centre and the Assam government is ensuring the safe return of the stranded Indians.

Earlier on February 27, two students Tanmayee Parashar and Siya Das have arrived home.
Tanmayee and Siya were among the 219 passengers who arrived in Mumbai from Ukraine on February 26 night.
Later, four more students hailing from Assam have also arrived safely from war-torn Ukraine in the second special evacuation flight.
They are Anurag Bhuyan from Gohpur and Kritika Basant from Guwahati, Daisy Basumatary and Himashree Kakati.
