The state of Assam on Wednesday night witnessed two major fire incident in Dibrugarh and Majuli area and fortunately no casualties was reported from the incidents.

The first mishap took place at Dibrugarh at night when a fire broke out at a commercial printing press titled ‘Quick Offset’ at the city’s Marwaripatti locality.

Most of the equipment at the printing press got destroyed in the devastating fire.

Several fire tenders reached the spot and managed to douse the fire in time before it could spread any further. No casualties or injuries have been reported from the incident.

Meanwhile, another major fire broke out last night at a granary owned by one Dibakar Doley at Sumoimari village in Majuli. Along with the granary, one motorcycle also got burnt down in the devastating fire. Locals got together and quickly managed to douse the flames before they could spread any further.
