Students of Assam University today sat on a protest demanding their examinations be held online. Hundreds of students sat outside the university’s main gate to press their demand.

The students claimed that despite putting up a formal request, none paid heed to it, prompting them to sit on a protest.

As hundreds of students sat outside the university main gate, Vice Chancellor of Assam University Professor Rajive Mohan Pant came out to negotiate with them.

Meanwhile, talking to the media, one of the students said that they have placed multiple memorandums for conducting online examinations but the authorities have not entertained any so far.

The student further said that since classes are being conducted online, exams should also be held in the same mode and that they are ready for offline examinations in the next semester.
