In Assam two youths have been arrested on extortion charges. The two persons were arrested from the Kaziranga area where they were asking money from people in the name of the ULFA-Independent militant outfit.
Earlier, police had arrested one person on charges of seeking money in the name of ULFA-Independent. After police conducted a raid based on fresh input after which two persons identified as Bhargab Tamuli and Mahendra Saikia
. The two were demanding money in the name of ULFA from the owner of a roadside dhaba in Haldhibari. Last night, both of them came to take money from the dhaba owner. It was then that police arrested them.
