Assam: Specially abled student defies odds, scores 65% in HS Exam 2024 writing with her leg

She has passed the examination writing with her leg.
Sudipta Bhowmik, specially abled student from Assam has defied all odds and achieved academic excellence, proving that “Where there is a will, there is a way.”
Sudipta Bhowmik’s unwavering willpower serves as an inspiration to many.
Sudipta Bhowmik, student of Asom Jyoti College in Dhekiajuli has passed the Higher Secondary exam 2024 with first division and letter mark in fine arts (above 80%). Overall, she got 65 %.
She has passed the examination writing with her leg.
Due to her physical barriers, Sudipta can not write or draw with her hands, so she turns pages, writes, draws and does everything with using her right leg.
Speaking to media, she said that that she wants to pursue higher studies in fine arts.
Her parents have urged the state government to help their daughter in perusing her dream.
Sudipta hails from hails from Mijibari village in Dhekiajuli, Sonitpur district. She is a patient of Beta thalassemia since childhood.She is also, an excellent artist and dancer.
Her father Sameer Bhowmik and mother Mridul Sarkar Bhowmik are both teachers in profession.
