Assam shocker: Minor girl found dead in Karimganj; locals suspect rape and murder

Tension prevailed in Karimganj, Assam, after a minor girl studying in class 8 was found dead in her room on Sunday morning.

As per inputs, the deceased’s body was recovered lying nude on her bed.

Locals revealed that blood stains were spotted on the deceased’s private parts. The locals have suspected that the girl was first raped and then murdered.

Police and the district magistrate have reached the spot, and the body has been sent for a post-mortem.

The magistrate said that the police are investigating the matter, and the cause of death will be revealed only after the post-mortem report.
