Assam: Sensational murder in Golaghat sends shockwaves

A sensational murder case has been reported from Eastern Assam’s Golaghat district. The deceased identified as Rajib Gogoi was attacked with a sharp weapon by accused Tolen Bora.
It is indeed a spine chilling incident as the victim was attacked by the accused inside his house mercilessly before dumping his body by the roadside at the Teteliguri village under Merapani sub-division. The deceased suffered lethal injuries in his forehead, chest, abdomen as well as other parts of the body.
Locals in the area alleged that the accused was exhibiting aggressive behaviour since the past few days with the intention of causing harm to anyone passing by his residence. Even the police was informed about this, informed one of the panicked locals.
Accused Tolen Bora has been arrested, but the motive behind the crime is yet to be ascertained.
Further probe into the matter is underway.
