Assam: Man who brutally thrashed 2 minors arrested in Dhekiajuli

Assam Police DGP GP Singh has directed the Sonitpur Police to take necessary follow-up action.
Steadfast in it’s commitment to take appropriate action against those indulged in crimes against children, the Assam Police has arrested a trader at Dhekiajuli town in Sonitpur district on charges of mercilessly beating two minors.
DGP GP Singh confirmed about the action taken against the perpetrator.
In a post on X, the Assam DGP said, “Reference child assault at Dhekiajuli District Sonitpur – The accused Dadul Sarma has been arrested and follow up lawful action being taken.”
Worth mentioning, a video went viral wherein the accused was seen brutally thrashing 2 minors on charges of stealing a mobile phone. Soon, the viral video had sparked outrage with netizens calling for action against the offender.
Soon after the DGP shared the information on X, users welcomed the swift action by the police.
