All-party meet held ahead of Winter Session of Assam Legislative Assembly

Ahead of the Winter Session of Assam Assembly 2021, an important all-party meeting was held last night. The meeting was chaired by Assam Assembly speaker Biswajit Daimary.

It is learnt that a total of 15 bills have reached speaker Daimary.

Speaking to the media, Daimary said that the Assembly will sit till evening 6 if the situation demands so.

On the other hand, a separate meeting between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its allies, namely the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) was held last night. The meeting was attended by Chief Minister

Himanta Biswa Sarma and other leaders of the alliance.

The opposition Congress too is gearing up for the Winter Session of Assam Assembly.

Congress leader Debabrat Saikia said that the party is prepared for an active session ahead.
