Assam: New Cancer hospitals starts treating patients
Meanwhile, the cancer hospital in Lakhimpur has also become operational from today onwards with OPD services.
The seven cancer hospitals which were inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Assam yesterday have become operational from today onwards.
The seven cancer hospitals have become operational in cities like Dibrugarh, Kokrajhar, Mangaldoi, Barpeta, Tezpur, Lakhimpur, and Jorhat, bringing huge relief to the cancer patients of Assam and the rest of the Northeast.
From today onwards, patients have started coming to get themselves treated in these hospitals and are visibly happy that now they don’t have to travel out of the state for treatment.
Meanwhile, the cancer hospital in Lakhimpur has also become operational from today onwards with OPD services.
The cancer hospital in Kokrajhar has also started providing OPD services to patients from today onwards. Patients began turning up today to avail themselves of the services in the new hospital.
Similar scenes could also be seen in Barpeta where one of the seven new cancer hospitals became operational today. Patients turned up on the first day itself to get themselves treated.
