Assam Floods has shown marginal improvement. This was informed by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma who is constantly monitoring the situation.

Chief Minister Sarma also said that the concerned authorities are working round the clock to restore road communication in landslide and flood affected areas. Besides, the Assam Chief Minister also informed that food items are being airlifted to different areas as part of relief measures.

Assam cabinet minister Ashok Singhal is constantly monitoring the flood situation in Silchar. Following directives of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the minister rushed to Silchar yesterday and held multiple meetings with authorities.

In fact, the minister visited different flood affected areas to assess the situation and also spoke to the flood affected people. Talking to our Silchar correspondent Bikram Sarkar, Ashok Singhal said that the government machinery is working round the clock to restore normalcy.

Besides, the minister also said that health teams are moving place to place and providing services to those in distress. Singhal added that there is adequate stock of food items in the Barak valley and urged people to avoid panic buying.
