Assam: Father accused of killing his one-year-old child confesses to the crime

In a big development, the father who was accused of killing an innocent one-year-old in Gohpur, Assam has finally confessed his crime to the police.
The accused, identified as Sachin Bordoloi, who had been missing since Wednesday evening, returned to his home in the early hours of Friday, after which the police arrested him.
The arrest was made following the deceased’s mother’s statement, in which she claimed that her husband killed their child.
The Gohpur police are currently interrogating Sachin Bordoloi by taking him into custody for three days.
However, on Friday, the father, Sachin Bordoloi, had narrated a different story.
On March 8, the father took his child to the market for pre-birthday shopping to celebrate the child’s first birthday. However, the duo did not return home till late night.
Later on Thursday (March 9), the dead body of the child was found lying in the midst of a paddy field on his birthday.
A bicycle along with a shopping bag was also found near the child’s dead body.
As per the police after committing the crime, Sachin Bordoloi fled away from the spot and went to Cementchapri by train.
