Alarming spike in dengue cases in Assam’s Cachar district has now raised serious concern.
As per inputs, one person has died while over 25 people are undergoing treatment at Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH).
Additionally, another 10 persons are admitted to various private hospitals.
The deceased has been identified as Dilip Kumar Nath.
Dengue causes high fever, and symptoms like headache, nausea, muscle or joint pain and vomiting.
In severe cases, if dengue is not treated promptly, it can cause a drastic fall in blood platelets, which can be life-threatening.
