Assam: DC, ADC of Hojai suspended following misbehaviour with public

The Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Assam’s Hojai district have been suspended.
The suspension of the two bureaucrats happened on the orders of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma after reports had surfaced of their alleged misbehavior with the public.
Hojai DC Anupam Choudhury and ADC Raktim Barua have been suspended on orders of the CM.
The suspension of the two bureaucrats has come in after a video emerged of them misbehaving with civilians on the highway in Lanka during a routine checking process.
In fact, the video also shows ADC Raktim Barau assaulting a person during the checking. The ADC reportedly assaulted the person for coming in from the wrong side of the highway.
It is also alleged that ADC Raktim Barua had also assaulted a senior citizen during the checking. This incident of high-handedness by a government official or bureaucrat had come to the notice of the Chief Minister following which action was taken against the ADC as well as the DC of Hojai.
