Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is set to embark on a significant day-long visit to Dibrugarh on September 5.
The Chief Minister will begin his day by laying the foundation stone for the much-anticipated ISKCON temple at Leela Gogoi Path, Jibon Phukan Nagar. The ceremony is scheduled to commence at 11:00 AM. This new temple is aimed at enhancing the cultural and spiritual landscape of the region.
After the foundation-laying ceremony, Sarma will attend a Teacher’s Day programme centrally organized at Rang Ghar Auditorium, Dibrugarh University. Education Minister Ranoj Pegu will be preent at this event, celebrating educators’ contributions.
In the afternoon, at 3:00 PM, the Chief Minister will inaugurate the new CM Secretariat located at Maijan, Dibrugarh. This state-of-the-art facility is anticipated to streamline administrative processes and improve governance in the region.
The day’s activities will culminate with a road-naming ceremony in Dibrugarh town, where a road will be named in the honour of late Jayanta Dutta, a former BJP state general secretary.
