Assam: Class 12 Girl Student Allegedly Abducted While Returning From Exam Centre

The accused has been identified as Mahibul Khan, who is a vegetable vendor.
In a shocking incident, a Class 12 girl student was allegedly abducted in broad daylight while she was returning home on the outskirts of Guwahati on Tuesday.
The incident took place in Khetri area of Sonapur.
As per inputs, the victim who appeared for the ongoing Assam Higher Secondary examination was kidnapped while returning home from college after her exam.
The accused has been identified as Mahibul Khan, who is a vegetable vendor.
Family members of the girl student have filed a complaint with the police.
Further probe into the matter in underway.
Earlier on February 13, Guwahati Police rescued a schoolgirl who was abducted from Paltan Bazar and taken to Borpathar in Golaghat district of Assam.
The victim, a student of Nicholes Higher Secondary School, was allegedly lured out of her home by a youth known to her before being kidnapped from Manipuri Basti area in Paltan Bazar.
