The deceased has been identified as Saheba Rehman.

Guwahati witnessed yet another tragic incident as a young woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances in her rented room today.

The latest case has been reported from Bishnujyoti Path in Hatigaon, where the deceased, identified as Saheba Rehman, was staying at Riyanshi Apartment.

However, details about her place of origin are yet to be ascertained.

Police suspect it to be a case of suicide, though an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of death.

This incident adds to a growing list of similar cases in Guwahati. Earlier in January, two young women were found dead in separate rented accommodations in the city.

One case was reported from Rukminigaon, where Bipulabi Nath, originally from Goalpara and employed at a local business establishment, was found dead in her room.

The other case occurred in Tarun Nagar, where Pratiksha Sharma from Tinsukia was discovered dead in her rented room.
