Assam: 2 women cops attacked by an angry mob of 50 inside Doboka police station

The police have arrested four people in connection with the case
In a shocking incident, two women police personnel were attacked by an angry mob of at least 50 people at Doboka in Assam’s Hojai district.
“One lady died by suicide in Madartoli village. Our police team then visited the spot and recovered the dead body. After that, the father of the deceased came to the police station. The husband of the deceased who was also present, started quarrelling with the father of the deceased, and when the police interrupted, they started attacking the police,” the police said.
The two police personnel — Dipika Bora and Jintu Baishya — were seriously injured in the attack. The police have arrested four people in connection with the case.
“We have arrested four persons, and legal action will be taken against them. Dipika Bora has sustained injuries on her hand. Her clothes were also torn,” the police added.
