In a fresh development concerning the SI recruitment exam controversy, the Assam Police has detained at least two persons for their alleged involvement in the case.
The duo has been identified as Pintu Gogoi and Pranjal Deuri who are suspected to be directly involved in leaking the question paper on social media.
According to police sources, Pintu Gogoi had allegedly leaked the question paper from the Lalit Chandra Bharali College in Maligaon.
At the same time, the police detained Pranjal Deuri from Nagaon for allegedly making the question paper viral on social media.
It may be mentioned here that the question paper of the SI recruitment exam conducted on Sunday had gone viral all over the social media amid strict exam invigilation.
Mobile phones of both candidates, as well as invigilators, were banned in the examination centers.
Adding to that, it was mandatory for candidates to submit the question papers along with the answer scripts before leaving the examination hall.
Notably, this is for the second consecutive time that the examination for recruitment of Sub Inspectors in Assam Police has landed into a controversy.
Meanwhile, the police are rigorously interrogating the duo.
