Assam: 2 minors drown in Karimganj district

The incident came to light after locals spotted a pair of slippers floating in the pond
In a tragic incident 2 minors lost their lives after they drowned in a pond at Hulas Nagar under Ratabari police station in Assam’s Karimganj district. Both the deceased aged 11 years and 7 years had gone for a bath. The incident came to light when the family searched for both the minors after they went missing for hours. Locals in the area spotted a pair of slippers floating in the pond and began searching for the minors in the pond. Following this, both the bodies were fished out from the pond. Police were informed about the incident and the bodies were later taken for post mortem.
