Angling competition in Dima Hasao with a message – Fish responsibly
With the aim to create awareness about the conservation and preservation of fish and marine organisms
With the aim to create awareness about the conservation and preservation of fish and marine organisms in the rivers of Assam’s Dima Hasao district, the Dima Hasao Angling and rafting Association is organising a monthly angling competition starting today.
Chief Executive Member of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council, Debolal Gorlosa will inaugurate the event today. The competition will be a ‘catch and release’ method and cash reward will be awarded to the winners and runners up.
Talking to the media, in charge of angling and rafting Ulysses Phonglosa briefed the particulars of the competition as well as about the reward. He further informed that the competition will continue from May till September 2022.
