Alliance Air launches ops for Northeast

Alliance Air flights will connect Lilabari, Shillong, Imphal, Aizawl & Zero. Giant Leap for Transformation through Transportation.

The air connectivity in Northeast got a big boost today after the Alliance Air launched its operations in the region. The Alliance Air flights will connect Lilabari, Shillong, Imphal, Aizawl and Ziro.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma who was a part of the virtual flag-off ceremony said that this will strengthen intra-region connectivity.

Besides, the Assam Chief Minister also believes that the newly launched Air Alliance service connecting key places of Northeast will also further increase the potential in trade and tourism sectors.

According to Chief Minsiter Himanta Biswa Sarma the launch of the new air service, is a giant leap for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Transformation by Transportation of Northeast.’ Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also expressed his gratitude to Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.

Union Law & Justice Minister Kiren Rijiju, MoS for Civil Aviation VK Singh, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, Assam Transport minister Parimal Suklabaidya, CEO Alliance Air Vineet Sood besides others were also part of the virtual event.
