Air of festivity greets PM Modi to Dibrugarh; Dances to ‘Bihu’ beats

Enjoying the grand performance, PM Modi was also seen dancing to the tune of ‘Bihu Naams’ and clapping to the beats of ‘Dhol’ and ‘Pepa’.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday received a pleasing reception in Assam’s Dibrugarh as 5000 Bihu dancers performed to welcome the Prime Minister along with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, and Governor Jagdish Mukhi.

Enjoying the grand performance, PM Modi was also seen dancing to the tune of ‘Bihu Naams’ and clapping to the beats of ‘Dhol’ and ‘Pepa’.

Along with the Prime Minister, CM Sarma and Union minister Sonowal were also seen breaking into a gig upon the stage at Khanikar playground in Dibrugarh.

Mesmerized by the Bihu performance, Prime Minister Narendra Modi rushed to greet the Bihu ‘Nasoni’s’ below the stage.

The 5000 ‘Bihu’ dancers have performed at 17 different locations to welcome the Prime Minister. These dancers have been practicing for several days to perform at the event.

After enjoying the grand performance, PM Modi will dedicate six cancer hospitals to the nation and lay the foundation stone for seven new cancer hospitals.

Meanwhile, preparations have been done on a war footing in both Dibrugarh and Diphu for the mega-events today.

The news of the seven new cancer hospitals in Assam has brought a wave of relief and happiness among the people.

With the seven cancer hospitals set to be inaugurated today by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, people celebrated the development yesterday evening by lighting earthen lamps in Lakhimpur, Mangaldoi, and Barpeta, the cities which are getting the new cancer hospitals.
