Is there a complete divide between Assam Congress top brass ahead of tomorrow’s crucial Rajya Sabha polls? Is Congress Rajya Sabha candidate Ripun Bora fighting a lonely battle? Has the Congress infused uncalled for drama in the battle in the wake of its insecurities?

These are the questions in everybody’s mind as Assam goes for Rajya Sabha polls tomorrow.
Well, Less than 24 hours after Assam Congress Chief Bhupen Borah called the AIUDF a party without principles which has gone to the extent of selling its MLAs to benefit the BJP, party’s Rajya Sabha candidate Ripun Bora and CLP leader Debabrata Saikia were seen on a damage control mode trying to project a united opposition front for the polls.

Briefing media persons in the Assembly premises, Congress Rajya Sabha candidate Ripun Bora appealed to all opposition MLAs to unite against the BJP and allies. Ripun Bora expressed confidence that all 43 MLAs including 15 from the AIUDF will back him.
CLP leader Debabrata Saikia added that irrespective of whatever confusion emerged last evening, all opposition MLAs will stay united.
