The Bangladeshi influx in Assam has been an age-old problem.
The last few decades has seen a rampant influx of illegal Bangladeshis which has seemingly put the state’s demography in danger. While many Assam-based organizations have raising their voice against the issue, the role of All Assam Students Union has been significant – the AASU has always been in the forefront. On that note, our Chief of Bureau Arindam Das caught up exclusively with AASU chief advisor Sammujal Bhattacharya who spoke on various issues – from the recent delimitation process, Bangladeshi influx to the NRC.
