HM Shah chairs NEC plenary meet: Focus on making Northeast as Growth Engine of nation

Development, ensuring permanent peace, enhancing economy, connectivity & making NE as the growth engine of India will top the agenda in the plenary meet.

Union home minister Amit Shah is chairing the all crucial 70th Plenary Session of the Northeast Council in Guwahati.

Governors, Chief Ministers of all the Northeast states, as well as top officials of the Centre and the respective state governments are present in the meeting.

As per inputs, the Plenary meet will focus on effective governance in the entire Northeast and work further for bringing in permanent peace, stability and enhancing economy.

Discussions on enhancing connectivity in the region is also one of the top agenda of the meeting. Various developmental projects are likely to be reviewed.

Meanwhile, another significant focus of the meeting is to formulate future plans for making Northeast, the growth engine of the nation.
