5.1 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Myanmar, Tremors felt in Assam and Manipur

NCS said that the quake recorded at 10:02 AM was epicentred in Myanmar at Latitude 24.92 N and Longitude 94.97 E, with a depth of 127 km.
An earthquake of magnitude 5.1 hit Myanmar today morning. It’s tremors were felt in the northeastern states of Assam and Manipur.
The National Centre of Seismology (NCS) said that the quake recorded at 10:02 AM was epicentred in Myanmar at Latitude 24.92 N and Longitude 94.97 E, with a depth of 127 kilometers.
Meanwhile, the 3.8 magnitude earthquake struck Tamenglong, Manipur, on January 2 at 6:52 p.m. The quake had a shallower depth of 20 kilometers and its epicenter was identified at Latitude 24.91 N and Longitude 93.34 E.
No casualties or damage to property have been reported so far.
