3 Kamatapur rebels arrested in Assam’s Dhubri

The arrested KLO cadres were identified as Narayan Barman, Tarun Rai, and Pranab Namah Das who were involved in extortion activities.

Three cadres of the Kamatapur Liberation Organisation militant outfit have been arrested in Assam’s Dhubri.

The three KLO cadres were arrested after police conducted a raid in Dhubri based on a specific input.

The arrested KLO cadres were identified as Narayan Barman, Tarun Rai, and Pranab Namah Das who were involved in extortion activities in the area and were sending threats to traders and commercial establishments.

Meanwhile, one 7.62 mm pistol and three threat letters were recovered from the arrested militants.

Noteworthy here is that Tarun Rai is a former joint secretary of the All Koch Rajbongshi Students Union organization. All three are currently in the custody of Dhubri police.
