1st anniv of Himanta Biswa Sarma govt: Amit Shah to reach Guwahati
He will be starting his day tomorrow by inspecting the Indo-Bangladesh border at Mancachar.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be arriving on a three-day visit to Assam tonight at 10 PM. He will be received by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at the LGBI airport, following which the Union Home Minister will be heading towards the Koinadhora Guest House.
It may be mentioned here that Home Minister Shah has a slew of programmes scheduled during his visit.
He will be starting his day tomorrow by inspecting the Indo-Bangladesh border at Mancachar. Following this, Home Minister Shah will be attending a programme in Tamulpur.
Around 6 PM, the Union Home Minister will be inaugurating the new super-speciality building of the GMCH.
On May 10, Home Minister Shah will be attending the President Colour Award ceremony. And, later, he will attend the one-year anniversary of the Himanta Biswa Sarma-led Assam Government.
Meanwhile, the Assam Police held a press conference ahead of the President’s Colour award ceremony to be held at the Nehru Stadium.
Special DGP LR Bishnoi said that the Assam Police officials will be awarded for their exemplary service in countering insurgency, combatting crime and protecting citizens of the state.
