1 year of Himanta Biswa Sarma govt: HM Shah hands over presidents colours to Assam Police

Union Home Minister will head to Khanapara, where he will attend a public meeting to mark the completion of one year for the BJP government

With the Himanta Biswa Sarma-led BJP government completing one year in power today, Union Minister Amit Shah has got a packed day ahead of him as he is scheduled to attend several programs.

Shah’s day began with attending a special function at the Nehru Stadium where the President’s Colour was given to the Assam Police. Shah also interacted with the personnel of the Assam police.

Following this, the Union Home Minister will head to Khanapara at 1:30 in the afternoon, where he will attend a public meeting to mark the completion of one year for the BJP government in Assam led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

After that, the Union Home Minister will be visiting the Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra where he would be laying the foundation stone for several projects.

Among these are a 5000-seater auditorium, the new DC office for Kamrup Metropolitan district, a new building for the office of Guwahati Police Commissioner, and a new site for Guwahati Police Reserve.

Meanwhile, with the Himanta Biswa Sarma government completing one year in power today, different government offices in the state were decorated yesterday night with lighting and other decorative.

The government offices would be commemorating the completion of one year of the BJP government in Assam by lighting decorative in the evening.

The lighting in all government offices will remain so till May 15.
