After much negotiation, the situation was finally brought under control following a written assurance by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sunny K Singh for a speedy trial and justice in the case apart from providing adequate compensation to the victim’s family.

An enquiry will also be conducted in order to ascertain if there was any lapse on part of the police and if so action will be initiated.
The mob fury ignited following the recovery of the mortal remains of a 25-year-old girl from a tea garden.
Earlier the girl had gone missing since March 7. People claimed that the girl was raped and murdered by some suspected tea garden workers.
